How do I tell DirectNic the address of my site?

If your DNS is being managed by the registration website where you bought the domain, such as directnic.com in this example, you can create the proper records at these websites.  Below is an example for creating a record if you are not going to have an ssl certificate for your website.  Every website will do this differently but they should all refer to these records with the same names as you see here.

Below is an example of how you would do this.

  1. Choose A as the record type.
  2. Enter the server name for your website, for example www.
  3. Enter the IP Address given to you by BirdDog Software.

Wait between 12 and 72 hours for the changes to take effect.
