The BirdDog® ShippingInterface module of the BirdDog® Distribution System is the bridge between your shipping computers and your ERP system. This is accomplished by taking the data that is accumulated throughout the day by the shipping computer’s software and writing it to the ERP's order entry and manifest system.
Packages are processed at the shipping computer. Here they are put on a scale and the Order number is keyed in. At this point, a label is created using the information from the original order. The information is stored in the shipping computer waiting for the End of Day procedure.
Activating the End of Day procedure on the shipping computer uploads the day's activities to the Shippers systems and then to the BirdDog Shipping Interface.
