Configuration Guide
To get the Epicor Connector setup and running properly you will need to perform the following actions:
- Setup the Epicor Connector
- Run the connector job manually to download the initial data from Epicor to Enterprise
- Update the Epicor connection info with the data that has been downloaded
- Run the connector job manually to complete downloading the initial data from Epicor to Enterprise
- Configure the job to run automatically to automate integration between Epicor and Enterprise
Setup the Epicor Connectors
To configure Enterprise to use Epicor, you need:
- On your Enterprise site, go to System Management > Connector Accounts
- Edit the existing Epicor connector
- Enter your connection details:
- Type: Epicor should be selected in this dropdown list.
- Epicor API Url: Provided by Epicor/IT. Should be in the following format: https://website-info.epicorsaas.com/MoreInfo/api/
- Epicor Username: Provided during your setup with Epicor
- Epicor Password: Provided during your setup with Epicor
- Epicor API Key: Coordinate with your Epicor IT.
- Epicor Company: In Epicor, click on the bottom image. You should see your company number underneath Company.
- Epicor FOB: Leave blank until after you have completed the initial Epicor connector run
Run the Epicor Connector Manually, Part 1
Use this to make an initial data download:
- Enterprise>System Management>Automation>Jobs
- Edit the Run Connectors job
- Click the Run Once button
- Review logging and verify that the initial run is complete without errors. Depending on the amount of data in Epicor this could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours
Finish the Epicor Connector Setup
Now you need to update the existing Epicor connector with the missing info we skipped earlier:
- On your Enterprise site, go to System Management > Connector Accounts
- Edit the existing Epicor connector
- Edit your connection details:
- Epicor FOB: In Epicor, go to Sales Management | Order Management | Setup | Ship Via.
Run the Epicor Connector Manually, Part 2
Now you'll need to download all of the rest of the data:
- Enterprise>System Management>Automation>Jobs
- Edit the Run Connectors job
- Click the Run Once button
- Review logging and verify that the initial run is complete without errors. Depending on the amount of data in Epicor this could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours
Automate the Job
To ensure BirdDog keeps the data flowing between Sage and Service Pro automatically you will need to:
- Enterprise>System Management>Automation>Jobs
- Edit the Run Connectors job
- Take the job off of hold
- Save the job
- Review logging and verify that the job is running every minute without errors.
