Create Unreleased Work Order

Follow these steps in Enterprise to create a single unreleased work order (also sometimes referred to as a production order). You must have an appropriate role to use this functionality.

1. Navigate to Manufacturing | Transactions | Work Orders
2. Click on Add
   
3. On the new, blank WO, you will need to populate the following:
   • Item
   • (Optional) Start Date - you can set this to something other than the default, which is going to be "today." Follow your established work order guidelines for this.
   • (Optional) Due Date - you can set this to something other than the default, which is going to be "today." Follow your established work order guidelines for this.
   • Order Quantity
4. Click on the Create Production Order button just under the label. A message will appear: Production Order XX Created. The XX will be the work order number and will be a hyperlink. Click on it.
5. This will take you to your work order.
   

You now have an Unreleased Production (or Work) order.
