My Favorites is a feature that will allow Users to mark items as "Favorite" so they can easily add them to their cart on return visits.
Setup:
- Login to your site using your admin account.
- Navigate to System Management | Site Settings and select the proper site.
- Click on the Functionality tab and check My Favorites Enabled.
- Save.
- Reload Site Settings (the two blue arrows) - you may want to click on this twice just to be sure.
- My Favorites is now active.
Note: Favorites are tied to the logged-in User, not customers.
Using:
- A User must first navigate to the Item Form page for the item they want to identify as a Favorite.
- Above the price, there is a space to insert a number or code for personal use. Users can't use the same code more than once and it should be something that's easily remembered. Once the User has input this new code in, they should click on the green Add symbol.
- Accessing a User's My Favorites can be done from their account page. Underneath Shopping (left column), is an option for My Favorites. After clicking this, the User is taken to their Favorites. Check the Add to Cart check box on the right of the appropriate item and click on Add Items to Cart. The User is then taken to their cart where they can adjust the quantity of this newly added item.
